Accessibility Statement
The Disability Equity Office is committed to providing an accessible and inclusive environment for all event guests. The following information is provided to allow event guests to plan for any additional access needs for the 2026 NDEAM Keynote address (hybrid) and Resource Fair (in-person).
Please note: American Sign Language (ASL) Interpretation and Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART), live transcription/streamtext, will be available for the in-person and remote keynote options. Reserved seating for individuals utilizing ASL or CART will also be available, as will accessible parking options, paratransit, and detailed bus route information, which will be available shortly.
For guests joining us between 1 and 4pm for the resource fair, refreshments will be available. Various gluten-free, vegan, nut-free, and dairy-free options will be available, along with food ingredient labels.

Transportation and Parking
U-M Faculty, Staff, and Students
U-M Bus Service
U-M buses are free for students, faculty, and staff. Use the following resources to plan your trip:

Thompson Parking Structure
Location: 508 Thompson Street
Parking access: Blue or Business parking permit
Accessibility: Accessible parking is available.
Visitors and Members of the Public
Location: Thompson Street between East William and East Jefferson streets
Availability: First come, first served
Rate: $2.50 per hour from 6 a.m.–6 p.m.
Payment: AIMS Mobile Pay (AMP)
Location: 324 Maynard Street
Accessibility: Accessible parking is available.
Rate: $1.65 per hour
Payment: Credit or debit card at an electronic payment kiosk (handled by AIMS)
State Street Park & Ride
The State Street Park & Ride is served by the Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority (AAATA). Visit the AAATA website for route, schedule, fare, and parking information.
Reserved Accessible Parking
A limited number of reserved accessible metered parking spaces are available on East Jefferson Street across from the Cube on a first-come, first-served basis. If you need a reserved accessible parking space, please contact the Disability Equity Office in advance.
U-M Paratransit Services
U-M Paratransit provides curb-to-curb transportation for individuals who are unable to use the Blue campus bus system.
- Students: Request paratransit services through the Office of Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD).
- Employees and visitors: Request paratransit services through the Disability Equity Office.
Requests for paratransit services for the NDEAM event must be submitted to the appropriate office by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, October 2.
Drop Off/Pick-Up
Individuals may be dropped off/picked up in the circle drive in front of the Michigan Union. Please note that no standing or parked vehicles are allowed.
