Digital Accessibility
Digital accessibility means creating, designing, and maintaining media, websites, applications, and documents for use by the broadest possible audience including people with disabilities. Our office provides guidance and training about the university’s digital accessibility obligations, including through policy, procedures, and unit partnerships.
Services
Disability Equity Office provides the following services related to digital accessibility:

Consultations
Our digital accessibility staff provide guidance on how university units and individuals may meet our obligations related to laws, regulations, and other standards. Request a consultation.

Training
We provide training regarding digital accessibility for documents, websites, or applications. Recordings of past trainings are available on our Trainings page.

Review
We can assist with preliminary digital accessibility reviews of websites or applications (internally developed or procured), sometimes done in collaboration with ITS. Request a review.
Captioning Support

Our office is providing financial support to faculty and staff on a first-come, first-served basis to ensure evergreen video materials, including lectures, symposia, or other educational event recordings, are captioned consistent with digital accessibility standards.
