National Disability Employment Awareness Month
Each October, the Disability Equity Office celebrates National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) through a series of engagement opportunities promoting disability inclusion across the University of Michigan.

Featured Event: Keynote
Join us on October 6 at the Michigan Union with an expanded lineup, including:

Keynote Speaker
Featuring Tiffany Yu, CEO & Founder of Diversability, a three-time TEDx speaker, and the author of The Anti-Ableist Manifesto: Smashing Stereotypes, Forging Change, and Building a Disability-Inclusive World.
Time: noon-1:00 pm
Location: both in-person and virtual attendance
Book signing and meet and greet to immediately follow keynote.
Spoon Theory Experience

Time: 10:30 am-11:30 am
Location: Michigan Union, 2nd floor, Tappan Hall
An interactive workshop exploring the intersection between disability, mental health, and everyday life. Space is limited.
NDEAM Resource
Fair

Time: 1 pm-4pm
Location: Michigan Union, 2nd floor Room 2210 ABC
Our annual tabling event featuring numerous campus and community resources for faculty, staff, and students. Refreshments, giveaways, and raffles for prizes, including a Big House Tour, signed U-M football, Loop headphones, U-M swag bag, book club books, and more! No registration needed.
